The Weather Channel said, “A new storm system could fire up a few severe storms as soon as Saturday night in the Midwest, but the more widespread potential is expected Sunday and Monday.”
Risk Areas
All 67 Alabama counties are at risk for severe weather, with a “probability range of 15–29%” according to the Storm Prediction Center.
Threats
Everyone can expect the threats of tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail.
Timeline
Current details indicate that this severe weather activity will occur on Sunday evening and run into Monday.
An early look at the timing from James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist says that “The main risk of severe storms for North Alabama will come from around midnight Sunday night through noon Monday, with the risk of the rest for the southern 2/3 of the state from 4:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday.”
